Tilquin Oude Mure 0,375 Lambic s ostružinami
The Mûre Tilquin à l’ancienne (6.0% alc/vol) is a spontaneous fermentation beer obtained from the fermentation of fresh or frozen blackberries in young lambics, blended with 1, 2 and 3 years lambic to reach a final concentration of fruits of 260-300 gr fruit per liter.
Pours like a classic rock band, Deep Purple. Well actually it kind leans pink when held up to the light.
Aroma is more of a super sour woodiness than it is blackberry. Does smell of berries though, but underneath, definite noticeable difference from the gueuze.
Taste has more of a citrus acidic aspect going for it, lemon and blackberry, this is really sour. It also has a really dry mouth feel to it, not as dry as the plum one, (prolly bc of the blackberries sweetness comparatively), but still impressive how you can have a sweet berry and the mouth feel is pretty dry. Sourness is around an 8 on the 10pt scale. Acidity is probably a 5. Doesn't produce much in the way of funky aspects, its pretty clean and dry, wood tannin presence. Carbonation was fine on mine. This is a review of the 2015-16 bottle (375ml).
Another winner from Tilquin.
